If you like steam, you have to watch this!
Africa has a rich Railway heritage. One of the great dreams was a trans African Railway, from Angola to Beira in Mozambique.
The railway was built in bits and pieces. I am not sure too many people travelled the distance though, due to the many disputes between the countries involved.
The following video encapsulates some of the steam action on this route, and includes some very old footage of wood burning steam in Africa.
Definitely worth watching.
